The best thing about life is you can have a new beginning everyday with new
sunshine. 1440 minutes gets credited every day in the account of your life. The
most important thing in life is LIFE itself. In spite of knowing the wonderful
things about living a fruitful life many of us end up unhappy, complaining,
hopeless and demotivated. Three important components which decide the quality
of your life are your Body, Soul and your Mind. For now, let's just focus on
the Mind.
The only job that the mind has is to work (i.e to think) and
what if it shows its tantrums in working?
HOW TO OVERCOME
PROBLEMS
For getting the solution it is vital to know the problem.
Once you articulate your problems, half of them are solved. So how do you do
that…. Where does the problem lie? For some there may be family issues or
limitation on academics front or not receiving any kind of support or the
financial instability? So on and so forth. The answer to all these is a big NO.
Every problem begins with you, in your mind. And the irony of the life is ‘THE
PROBLEM MAKER ‘MIND’ IS THE ONLY SOLUTION PROVIDER. All you have to do is tune
it appropriately.
HOW TO TUNE IT
Imagine a big jug of crystal-clear water. If you throw a
pinch of mud in it, will it make the entire water in that big jug dirty?
obviously the answer is no. What if you add little more mud to it. The water
might slightly change its colour and it will no longer be crystal clear. And if
you keep adding more mud to it, what will happen? water will become filthy. Now
just reverse your imagination. Think of a mind filled with various emotions
like fear, stress, lethargy, negative thoughts, procrastination, anger, jealousy
etc. Will these get clear just by having a single positive thought? or by doing
meditation for a day or two? A pinch of dust will not make the crystal-clear
water dirty similarly a single effort of tuning the mind in the right direction
is not going to help. You need to consistently make efforts. PERSEVERANCE is
the key.
YOUR GO WAYS
For tuning your body, you need to exercise quite similar is
with the mind. Below are the ways by which your mind can be your best friend.
POSITIVITY:
Now this is a matter of habit. How much ever we say that I’ll
only think positive but a moment later we end with ifs and buts. There is a simple
way of staying positive and that is whenever you are struck by as negative
thought just remind yourself to back it up with two positive thoughts. In this
way, you will always end up thinking on a positive front. Sooner or later being
positive will become your habit. Train your mind to see the good in everything.
CONTROL
Can we enjoy our meal while running or walking? Then how can
a distracted and unstable mind help you in taking a correct decision? What does
controlling the mind actually mean? It is simply controlling all your emotions
which are mixed with anxiety, fear, happiness or anger. Deep breathing and meditation can aid you here.
Take a deep breath get back to the state of mind when things were normal and
make that a beginning point to think again, analyse the situation and start
taking out the probable solutions with a completely controlled and unbiased
mind.
CLARITY
Unclear paths lead your nowhere and so is with the mind.
Confusing the mind by pouring unwarranted thoughts will only create confusion
which in turn will create havoc. Be clear with what is to be done, how is it to
be done, and what if planned things do not turn out as intended. Once there is
clarity in mind it is easy for the mind to process and come out with viable
solutions.
FOCUS
To reiterate Tony Robbins “Your life is controlled by what
you focus on”. Take the control of your mind by focusing on your goals. Your
focus will determine your reality. You need to have a purpose and a clear
vision to focus on. Make your goals clear, and know your purpose, this will
help in having a focused mind.
RECEPTIVE AND
ACCEPTANCE:
Tune your mind to accept the facts and realities of your
environment. Receive them well with a robust positive attitude and take it in
your stride all the critical and adverse views. Train your mind to make these
critical and adverse views, the raw materials in the process of creating a new
version of yourself.
FEED YOUR MIND
Nutrition is vital, be it your body or mind. Feeding your
mind nutritious things will ultimately help you to take a reasonable decision
in the journey of your life. Nutrition for mind, can be in any form. All that
keeps your mind healthy is nutrition. Prayers can be one of the dominant nutrients.
Try to take out some time for prayers as this will always carter you in the best
direction of your life. Knowledge is another nutritious ingredient that one
should strive for. Knowledge has a beginning but no end. Keep adding and upgrading your knowledge in
all walks of your life. The more your mind is filled with knowledge, the less
space for unwarranted thoughts. Good thoughts are the seeds that one needs to
plant.
The above GO WAYS will help in taking care of your mind which in turn will
improve the quality of your Life. A Focused mind is a happy mind and a Happy
mind is Happy Life. Eckhart Tolle has rightly said that “All problems are
illusions of the mind”
Mind is the most powerful thing, when you fill it with
positive thoughts your life will start to change. Even before you open your
eyes in the morning the mind starts working in a way, may be with good thoughts
or may be with bad one all depends on how you feed your mind every day. Mind
can be your best friend and help you to grab all the opportunities and conquer
the world but all you need to do is MIND IT.
